The Archive is a fan-created and moderated collection of immersive stories – told through text, images, audio clips, and other media forms – centered in and around the No Man's Sky universe.

 

It started with a question on Reddit, when one of our founders sent out a feeler to see if anyone would be interested in reading such a tale. As it turned out, quite a few people replied saying that they not only interested in reading, but sharing their own tales!

 

After a bit of conversing (and some trial and error) our founding members Tolacid and Cryptic_Dragon got an official Discord server up and running under the original name of NMS_Datalogs. With the help of several others (including co-founders TheGoldenAtlas[16-A] and PsycoDemon45, as well as some awesome artwork by the talented TengHu), we soon were over our growing pains and decided to embrace the idea that we were chronicling the histories of our separate journeys across the galaxies where anyone could read them, under the title of The Archive.

 

Over 40 users joined us on Discord in the first two weeks, and among them were a healthy dozen regular contributors, and many more just seeking a good story. We're happy to have them, and welcome all comers, but we soon realized that Discord was a bit, well, restrictive for the purposes of our community. In order to grow and allow more Travelers to find us and share their adventures across the galaxies, we had to grow a little bit more. So, we created this website.

 

Well... Mostly Atlas, but I suppose if you're following the lore that only makes sense, huh?
